Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why FloodMeister LLC Stands Apart
We set ourselves apart by focusing on three things our customers value most: quality, reliability, and service. We are not associated with any other company and sell our own product. Flooddy is a Floodmeister Product. Each inquiry is handled with urgency and respect, and all prospective clients are contacted as quickly as possible. Your project matters, and we’re committed to providing responsive, expert support from the very first conversation.
What are your financing options?
Flexible financing available: FloodMeister works with third-party providers to help you protect your property without upfront strain.
Will I receive a discount on my homeowners or Flood Insurance?
Installing flood proofing can make you eligible for lower flood insurance premiums. Both the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and private insurers offer discounts for flood protection measures. These measures are called “mitigation discounts.” You will need to check with your insurance company and/or broker to see what discounts may apply.
How long after I order will it take to have my system installed?
We source the raw materials internationally. Most installations take between 8-12 weeks after deposit. FloodMeister works closely with our suppliers to shorten lead times at every available opportunity.
When the system is not installed and stored, how will I know what panels go where when I need to reinstall the system?
All panels are clearly marked with a sticker indicating location and whether the panel is bottom, middle, or top.
Can Install the systems myself, or do I need a professional?
We highly recommend professional installation for optimal performance and proper sealing. Incorrect installation may result in water leakage. But when installed, you will be able to mount and dismount the barrier yourself.
How do you store the Flooddy Panels when not in use?
The panels are designed to be stacked and stored compactly.Once the flood risk has passed, remove the planks in reverse order. Clean off any debris, dry the components thoroughly, and store the system safely for future use. The panels can be stored compactly in a garage, typically mounted on the wall for easy access. We will soon be offering additional wall brackets to make storage even more convenient.
Do you come out to measure before we order?
Yes. We conduct a site visit and detailed measurement process to ensure a custom fit. Accurate sizing is critical for reliable protection.
Are the panels permanently installed?
No, the panels can be removed after every storm and installed in just a few steps. The posts that hold the barriers can be installed permanent but can also be removed.
